8/4/2015

Heritage Community of Kalamazoo Wyndham West, an assisted living community, earned a perfect score from the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs for the fourth year in a row. “Our staff works conscientiously every day in order to assure that Wyndham West is a safe and comfortable home for our residents. It is very rewarding to see our hard work reflected in the score not only this year but also for the past four years,” said Jay Prince, President and CEO for Heritage Community.

Every state-licensed assisted living community must undergo a detailed inspection that includes the monitoring of patient care, safety, medication, food service and meals, cleanliness, patient rights, and administration.

“It is very gratifying that the dedication and commitment to excellence of all of the staff at Wyndham West was reflected again this year in a perfect score on the annual state survey. It is a way for us to ensure that we are providing the very best care in safe and comfortable surroundings,” said Ann Richards, Community Director for Wyndham West.

This honor is the most recent in a series of outstanding accomplishments by Heritage Community and their staff that includes the Governor’s Award of Excellence, One Vision Award, NuStep Pinnacle Award, Essential Piece Award, STAR Award, and Illuminating Excellence. Wyndham West also received a combined 95 percent on the resident and family satisfaction survey that was conducted through National Research Corporation.
