This type of gathering is intentionally designed so that people living with dementia – and their care partners – can enjoy a classic or familiar movie in a space that is welcoming, safe, and comfortable and with out stigma. The environment, pacing, and social expectations are adapted so guests can relax, participate in their own way, and feel part of a supportive community.
