Mindfulness Meditation for Care Partners

Mindfulness meditation is a contemplative practice that can be used to reduce stress, expand coping skills and enhance feelings of self awareness and wellbeing. In this 4 week course, participants will meet weekly via Zoom to learn and practice mindfulness practices that can be done in minutes, anytime, and in any context, to reduce stress and maintain positive care-giving relationships. Self care for dementia care-givers is specifically addressed in the course. It is not necessary to have prior knowledge of or experience with contemplative practice or mindfulness. Individuals caring for or in relationship with someone living with dementia, are welcomed.
This is a 4 week course, meeting live on Zoom. Registrants will receive a Zoom link after registering.
The class is limited to 8 people, who should expect to attend each of the 4 sessions. Class dates are: 9/15; 9/22; 9/29; and 10/6, from 2-3:30pm
