Heritage Community of Kalamazoo Receives Governor's Award of Excellence


Heritage Community of Kalamazoo is pleased to announce it has received MPRO’s 2014 Governor’s Award of Excellence for achievements in reducing health care acquired conditions in nursing homes. To receive this honor, Heritage Community of Kalamazoo not only improved the quality of resident care in clinical quality areas such as pressure ulcers, physical restraints, antipsychotic use, falls and urinary tract infections, but provided organizational improvement, and actively participated in the statewide Michigan Learning and Action Network and the National Advancing Excellence Nursing Home campaign.

Heritage Community Wyndham West Earns Perfect State Survey


Heritage Community of Kalamazoo Wyndham West, an assisted living community, earned a perfect score from the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs for the fourth year in a row. “Our staff works conscientiously every day in order to assure that Wyndham West is a safe and comfortable home for our residents. It is very rewarding to see our hard work reflected in the score not only this year but also for the past four years,” said Jay Prince, President and CEO for Heritage Community.

Heritage Community of Kalamazoo NuStep's 2015 Silver Pinnacle Award Winner


NuStep, Inc. has named Heritage Community of Kalamazoo a 2015 Silver Pinnacle Award winner in the Senior Living division. Heritage Community of Kalamazoo is a non-profit continuing care retirement community located in southwest Michigan. HCK has 400 residents who live in one of the seven communities on the campus. Over the last 10 years, HCK’s concept of wellness has evolved from a few seniors exercising with a video to a comprehensive, campus-wide commitment.
