The Upjohn Community Care Center. Located on a beautifully landscaped 25-acre campus, this is not your ordinary skilled nursing facility.
Do you need ongoing personal care during an extended illness? A temporary home while you are in a rehabilitation program? Whatever the reason, if you need skilled nursing assistance, you will find that the Upjohn Nursing Center is a warm, comfortable place to stay. You can add personal touches to make your semi-private or private room feel "just right". Of course, we offer activities to meet the interest and needs of every resident. But what really makes us different from other skilled nursing facilities? It is our highly trained and devoted staff. They are committed to caring for you as a whole person; for your physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual well-being, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
All of our services are provided under the direction and supervision of a licensed registered nurse and the medical director. We have a special Memory Care unit dedicated to secure, compassionate care for individuals with dementia who also need 24-hour skilled nursing care. We offer speech, occupational, and physical therapy through one of the most highly rated, in house therapy departments of Kalamazoo. And finally, our nutrition services are managed by a certified dietary manager and registered dietitian.
Skilled Care includes all services that must be provided or monitored by a licensed nurse, such as diagnosis-based care planning, administration of medications and medical treatment. Services are provided under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, a licensed registered nurse.
The Care Center provides a warm and comfortable place to live. Both semiprivate and private rooms are available. The trained staff is committed to caring for the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of individuals. Licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants provided care and services 24 hours a day. Daily activities to stimulate mind, body and spirit are an important part of life at Upjohn Community Care Center.
