At Heritage Community of Kalamazoo (HCK), we constantly strive to create an organization that provides exceptional quality of care, service, and lifestyle for our residents. To achieve that goal, we created the HCK Centers of Excellence designed to cut across a broad spectrum of needs and address issues common to most of our residents.
We currently have five Centers of Excellence:
Memory loss and cognitive impairment are important issues for many seniors. While HCK has two distinct centers to serve those with mid/late stage dementia, we know that many others may be in the early stages of memory loss. Therefore, we want to have staff knowledgeable of the disease process, facilities that enhance the security of residents and awareness throughout our organization of memory care treatment approaches.

We are committed to creating and sustaining a culture of living at HCK that is the embodiment of "celebrating Life and honoring the Soul" which is the first line of our Mission. Taking a person-centered approach we ensure that each resident is provided with the opportunity to enrich their experience at HCK through innovative programs designed to enhance their mind, body and spirit, and we also have a lot of fun at HCK too!!
